This page covers the familybrief.ca website only: what we learn when you visit, and what happens to the details you send us. It is not a description of how the Familybrief product will handle client files; the product's privacy and security commitments are set out on the main page.
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which parts of the page are useful. It records things like the pages viewed, which product screens are opened, whether a pilot request was sent, the type of device and browser, the general area a visit comes from, and the site that referred you. It uses cookies to tell one visit from another. It does not tell us who you are.
We have turned off Google's optional settings for sharing this data with Google for its own products, benchmarking, technical support and recommendations. You can stop Google Analytics from counting your visits with a browser setting or extension that blocks it.
If you send a request, we receive the details you enter: your name, firm, email address, the number of lawyers in your practice, and anything you write in the free-text box. The form is delivered to our email inbox through Web3Forms, a form-to-email service, which may process it outside Canada.
We use these details only to reply to you about the pilot. We do not sell them, share them with other businesses, or add you to a mailing list. Please do not include client names or details of any matter in the form.
Messages to [email protected] are forwarded to our mailbox by Cloudflare's email routing. We use them only to reply.
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, keeps routine technical records of requests (such as addresses and times) to run and protect the service.
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information you have sent us at any time by writing to [email protected]. We will delete pilot request details on request, and in any case once they are no longer needed to discuss the pilot.
